Irish dancing Commission: Origins and Evolution - John Cullinane
While there are now several Irish dancing bodies, 'An Coimisiún' remains the largest body that legislates for Irish dancing world wide. It has been in existence for over seventy years. With thousands of teachers registered worldwide it organises some of the largest competitions in the world, with some lasting eight or nine days.
Dr. John Cullinane draws on his extensive Irish dance archive to give us a comprehensive account of the genesis of An Coimisiún.
