We're very excited to offer Andrea Palandri's debut solo album through the shop! Andrea is one of our fiddler favorites, and has appeared on Slí na mBeaglaoich on TG4, and various projects with the Irish Traditional Music Archive.

An Veidhlín Muimhneach (‘The Munster Fiddle’) is Andrea Palandri’s debut solo fiddle album. Inspired by the Sliabh Luachra tradition, the album pays tribute to three key figures in that tradition, Pádraig O’Keeffe, Denis Murphy and Paddy Cronin, whose styles have deeply influenced Andrea’s playing.

The repertoire includes tunes linked to these players, as well as pieces recorded or collected by Irish musicians from Munster during the 19th and 20th centuries.

The album features cover art by Liam O’Neill, ‘O’Keeffe ag siúlóid’, and accompaniment by Ruairí McGorman on Greek bouzouki.
